Those who say this product doesn't stick don't know how to use it. I know because I bought one and had no luck making it stick until I figured it out.First, the diameter of the suction cup is four inches, and the surface has to be at least somewhat flat. If you have a big shallow dent, like when someone sits on your hood, you should have no problem. If you have a one-inch diameter dent, this device won't work. But if you have an area inside the dent that's close to being at least four-seven inches across, it most likely will work.Second, you have to wet the sheet metal first, and it doesn't hurt to put some soap on it, either, and do the same with the rubber.After you've done that, press the suction cup firmly on to the sheet metal in a flat place. If your dent is wide and flat, that would be in the middle of the dent. If it's only about four inches across, so there's no big flat area inside the dent, attach the suction cup *near*--not on--the dent. You may have to push hard. Then snap the handles closed to make the suction effect. Then, once the cup is firmly attached to the sheet metal, slide it into the area you want to pull. This may take some effort because the suction is powerful. Once you have it in position, pull. You may have to repeat this, depending on the shape and depth of your dent. It worked for me and, unless you have a dent that's too small, it'll work for you. And there's no reason to buy a more expensive one.
